Love makes people do strange things, especially celebrities with excess funds. Who can forget when Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton wore vials of each other's blood or when Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian 10 Burger King locations? The newest strange celebrity couple gift comes courtesy of Brooklyn Beckham (the oldest son of David and Victoria Beckham) and his fiancé, actor Nicola Peltz: wisdom tooth necklaces. In a recent interview, Peltz explained the significance behind the necklaces, which have had fans scratching their heads for the past few weeks. To see why this couple is wearing teeth on a chain, read on, and to learn about another celebrity couple's child now, See David Bowie and Iman's Daughter at 20.
Peltz and Beckham started wearing each other's wisdom teeth as necklaces a few weeks ago.
In late March, Peltz revealed on her Instagram Stories that she and Beckham were wearing each other's wisdom teeth as necklaces, without giving much further context. But this week, the actor was featured in Vogue's most recent installation of their Beauty Secrets video series. In between sharing her skincare and makeup routine, she explained the backstory behind the golden teeth she and Beckham wear around their necks. "If you guys are wondering what this is—this is so weird—but this is Brooklyn's wisdom tooth," said Peltz. She said Anito Ko, a jewelry company, got the tooth plated for her.

The idea came to Peltz after Brooklyn got his wisdom teeth removed.
In the April 15 video, Peltz explained that the teeth have some meaning for the couple. "I just finished filming a movie, and Brooklyn's teeth were really bothering him. He was the set photographer on my film. We were trying to figure out when a good date was [to get his wisdom teeth out]. It was right before his birthday," she said.
She then got the inspiration for the necklace when she remembered her mom still had her wisdom tooth. "My mom had my wisdom tooth from like five years ago, which is very bizarre, in her closet. So I did the same for him," said Peltz. "He wears mine, and I wear his. All of our wisdom stuck in a tooth."
While this may seem odd, Peltz and Beckham aren't the first celebrities to think of this. Reportedly, Scarlett Johansson gifted Ryan Reynolds her wisdom tooth dipped in gold and strung it on a necklace for his birthday back in 2007 when they were together.

Peltz and Beckham also have tattoos for each other.
Golden wisdom tooth necklaces aren't the only extravagant gift this couple has gotten. In early April, Peltz revealed she got Beckham's name tattooed on her upper back in cursive. In January, for Peltz's birthday, Beckham got a tattoo of her late grandmother's name, Gina. He also has a pair of eyes tattooed on his neck that looks very similar to Peltz's, although he's yet to comment on whether the tattoo is in honor of his fiancé.

Peltz and Beckham have not been shy about their love, especially since getting engaged in July.
The couple got engaged after nine months of dating in July 2020. "Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me, and she said yes," Beckham wrote on Instagram. "I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day." Peltz also celebrated on social media writing, "You've made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift."
Beckham's mom shared in the celebration as well, calling it, "the most exciting news" on Instagram. Victoria said she couldn't be happier that the pair was getting married and wished them love and a lifetime of happiness. "We all love you both so much," she wrote. Beckham's dad also took to Instagram to congratulate the young couple, saying, "We are so, so happy for you guys."
